This Is Me

Where to begin? I could start at the very beginning, when I was growing up. But wait…that’s not what this is. This is not a biography. It IS going to be my life story. You are going to see pieces of my thoughts, my favorite things, my passions, my accomplishments and my love for life. I want to share the things I love with the world. Why? Because I can.

The internet today makes it very easy to share things online. When I was young, we didn’t have computers or cell phones. My kids are going to grow up very differently than I did as a kid. I was born in the eighties and my favorite thing was either playing outside with my dog, Bucky, pretending he was my prince in disguise, or playing with My Little Ponies and My Little Pony Palace.

I am 38 and I started a Youtube channel February 15, 2019. I was scared. I didn’t want to be judged, and yet I knew, that if I put my life online, I would be judged. At the same time, does it really matter what someone else thinks?

My passion is creating. I love art, drawing and painting with all mediums. I enjoy counted cross-stitch, knitting, and crocheting. I love to cook, and to spend time with my kids who, as of the date of this blog are 6 years and 6 months old. I also love to plan, journal, bullet journal and create homemade cards. I love astrology, weather, and taking photographs of nature. I also love to garden. I probably should have made a bulleted list!

My webpage is yet another way to share all of the things that I love and that have improved my life. I have included a portfolio of my “accomplishments”, and work. I will be writing weekly blogs, to be published every Monday (this date may change, depending). The topics are going to be varied and will be something that I am passionate about. These blogs are also meant to be helpful. Take it with a grain of salt though. My thoughts and words may not be for everyone. Keep in mind, not everyone is the same, and what works for me may not work for you. But, people are adaptable and so are the tools we use. The trick is to find something that you think might work for you and adapt it so that it does work for you.

Take the planner analogy for instance. If you have a planner but never use it, was it a good buy? What if it takes you more time to plan than it does to do the things that you put in that planner? Is it worth your time? Probably not. The trick is to find out what works best for you.

I’m here to help with that. Stay tuned for next week’s blog, Productivity: Working From Home.
