My Favorite Youtubers

Hey guys! Welcome back! This is going to be an interesting post for sure. Not only have I never discussed what kind of content I watch on Youtube, but I think it really gives you insight into who a person is. It’s similar to my “Current Favorite Things” blog, in that it reflects what my current interests are. The other thing is that I watch Youtube videos for a variety of reasons. The obvious, entertainment, but sometimes also to relax and of course, to learn. Entering a search query into either Google or Youtube is the first thing almost any of us will do when searching out a topic of interest to us. In saying that, let’s get started. I will list my favorite youtubers by topic, and I suggest you check any of these people out for yourself if you haven’t already! There are a variety of great personalities in this blog! Also, some of the people that I talk about could belong to different categories other than what I’ve listed. Sometimes they cover different topics and help with different things. I will also leave links to their channels so it will be easier for you to find them!

YOUTUBE / BUSINESS / PERSONAL GROWTH

CATHRIN MANNING

Cathrin is a Youtube Strategist and personal growth personalty. She is VERY good at speaking in front of the camera and there is something very magnetic about her. I want to watch every single one of her videos. I have really been into personal development lately, and she has some very good tips, especially how personal development relates to Youtube and growing your business.

LOISE HENRY

I have just recently subscribed to Louise, but she is the first person I have heard say that if you own an online business, it is the best tool for personal growth. I have only watched a handful of her videos, but she has a very bright and optimistic personalty and it makes you want to watch more. She is actually Canadian, who recently moved to Panama, and I strive to be at her level in attitude and mindset ❤️

RELAXING

THE METICULOUS MANICURIST

Lori Halloway is a certified Nail Technician based in Michigan and I swear, one day, I will get a pedicure from this amazing lady. She specializes in pedicures, and her videos are full of relaxing water sounds as well as good information on how to care for your feet. She has tons of videos showing how to care for toes with every kind of issue you could imagine. She also has an online store where she sells the tools of her trade. I will never go to another nail technician here in Edmonton again after watching her. I have learned how to care for my own feet and will one day see if I can get in to make an appointment and maybe have a video of my own feet someday!

ORGANIZATION & MONEY

THE ORGANIZED MONEY

Alaina is one of the most inspiring people that I have found on Youtube. Her videos are full of organization gold. She is actually an accountant, and holds courses that she calls Money Mondays. She also has an Etsy Shop where she sells “The Budget Planner” which is extremely organized and well thought out. It really is helpful for someone who has never created a budget before. She has videos on her channel that shows how she uses it along with helpful tips and tricks. Every time one of her videos comes, on I make sure to watch it as soon as I can!

BULLET JOURNALING

AMANDA RACHLEE

Amanda’s channel is the very first “bullet journaling” channel I watched when I opened up my Youtube App for the first time. She had about 60,000 subscribers then and she now has two million plus. She has opened up an online shop where she sells blank bullet journal notebooks as well as the “Doodle Planner” which is a planner/bullet journal/coloring book. She has used previous themes from her own bullet journal creations. You can find it here: https://www.shopamandarachlee.com

JENNY JOURNALS

Jenny’s channel is the one I went to when attempting to make my own stickers. She is HUGE into painting, especially water color, and her bullet journal cover pages are beautiful. She certainly has her own style when it comes to bullet journaling; I would say it resembles scrap booking or memory keeping more than anything. Jenny has an Etsy Shop named Jennys Paper Craft Co and she sells almost everything she creates in her own bullet journal.

JOURNAL AWAY

Anna is a lovely artist from Finland, but I’m pretty sure she now lives in Japan with her boyfriend. Her art is OUT OF THIS WORLD, so technically, her channel could also be categorized under Art as well. Her bullet journal style is minimalist functional, with a certain flair and I just can’t put my finger on it. She has a very strong Finian accent which is kind of endearing. Anna also has an Etsy shop and I believe most of her paintings she does for her bullet journal can be found there.

CLAUDIA JOSEPH

Claudia is from Virginia, and her videos started popping up on my Youtube page about a year ago. She created bullet journaling videos with occasional vlogs. She currently has switched to a planner and no longer uses a bullet journal. She now has mainly a vlog channel and she does have an Etsy Shop where she creates custom bullet journals for people.

RACHAEL STEPHEN

Rachael is actually a writer, and helps other people to improve their writing skills. The very first time I watched her channel I found a video about what she was doing wrong in her bullet journal. I would call her style very minimalist and functional. She lives in Glasgow, Scotland.

HELEN COLEBROOK

I was watching bullet journaling videos and came across Helen’s channel one day. She has many types of journals. In her bullet journal, she uses daily logs, which inspires me to change my own bullet journal occasionally. She also has haul videos from London Gifties, a store in London which has REALLY nice washi tape and miscellaneous stationery items.

HAND LETTERING/PEN REVIEWS

ENSIGN INSIGHTS

Sarah is a hand lettering artist who also does brush pen reviews. Sarah has a very nice, relaxing voice that sounds like ASMR to me. She has recently come out with a book that can be purchased on Amazon, “ Hand Lettering for Beginners: Simple Techniques. Endless Possibilities”. Her lettering style has this beautiful slant that is so elegant and reminds me of cursive.

HOW TO HAND LETTER

Susie is a hand lettering artist, but she also does brush pen and stationery reviews. I really enjoy watching her reviews since she goes through the alphabet in the colors of the pens she reviews. She has a very upright lettering style, and I enjoy watching her letter in real time.

CINDY GUENTERT-BALDO (hard to categorize)

As I said at the top, Cindy’s channel is hard to categorize. I think I love her attitude more than anything. She has a serious kidney disease, and is enjoying her life, working from home and loving her family. She is very authentic to who she is and her audience loves her for it. She has been known to cuss a bit in her videos. She actually has helped design stickers for Kristen from KrissyAnne Designs Stickers. I can rely on her stationery reviews to be dead on (I love her brush pen reviews) and I love her Planning series, Plan As You go. She is currently using only a bullet journal, but her lettering techniques and styles are amazing (she has had LOTS of practice! ) Cindy also has an Etsy Shop where she sells paintings she calls “fuckery flowers”.

ART & PROCREATE

HAZE LONG

I started watching some art videos from Haze, but the one playlist I LOVE is the Procreate Tutorial. Haze basically shows step by step in a Video Series how to use Procreate. (Procreate is a drawing app used by artists to create gorgeous digital art pieces).

MAKEUP

ANGELA BRIGHT

I LOVE Angela’s makeup style. As long as I have watched her, most of her makeup tutorials are done with only one eye. (Meaning she only shows one eye to save time). The only thing is, she uses a new shadow palette almost every video and I can’t believe one girl can have so many palettes. I once watched her de-stash and organize her palettes and she had to give away or throw out so many old palettes.

HINDASH

Hindash is the second “actual” makeup artist I started watching on Youtube. I love his voice; even though he does voiceovers, there is something about it. I also love that he holds his little dog Timmy at the beginning of every video. He inspires me to try new products and also to apply makeup a bit more sparingly. I love how he uses all the products together and he actually just released his own product, Beautopsy on his website, www.hindash.com .

PAINTEDBYSPENCER

This guy is SUCH a character. I would love to meet him in real life. He makes me laugh, and I love the little “blink-blink” he does in the beginning. There’s something so flawless about how he applies makeup on the models and it inspires me to do makeup every single time I watch one of his videos. When he applies face makeup though, he does this little wrist-flick thing that I swear is going to give him carpal tunnel syndrome before he retires.

SMITHA DEEPAK

I literally just started watching Smitha. Her makeup tutorials remind me of Angela Bright’s style (only showing one eye while applying shadow) and she has a really good eye for color. Smitha is based out of India and actually just won the Best Beauty Youtuber Award from India.

EMILY JEAN BEAUTY

Emily was the very first makeup youtuber channel that I ever watched. I seriously binge-watched her entire list of videos, and I especially loved all of the makeup videos. She was still in school when I started watching her videos, or she had just graduated. She actually does a lot of lifestyle vlogging as well, but her old videos were really good. She is based in Detroit, Michigan.

So that is it! I hope you enjoyed reading a little bit about my favorite Youtubers. There are a lot of people on Youtube, but these are the people I keep coming back to day after day! Also, all of these people are so inspiring to me on different levels and give me new insights every day. These people have become my private mentors, even though they don’t know that! I hope you enjoy checking out their channel!
