2024 Planner Lineup
Hello and welcome back! I thought it was time to give you a look at my updated planner lineup. I like to change up what I’m doing from year to year and 2024 is no exception - I do have a few new planners and notebooks this year, so keep reading to find out what I’ve changed up this year!
The first planner that I would like to talk about is my goal planner by Cultivate What Matters. This is really the beginning of my planning journey - where I map out the direction in which I want my life to go. I always get the yearly goal planner. The company has changed things up a bit for 2024, but I think the changes are really good and I’ve seen a lot of positive feedback in the community.
My next planner is my business planner. This year, I’m using a Janes Agenda planner that I pieced together myself. I did have the Janes Agenda Black Cover on my discs, but I recently changed the cover to this beautiful Planners Anonymous A5 Coastal Escape Melody that was released last year. It fits perfectly, and is a nice touch to a disc-bound planner. The pages in this planner are half letter, and I love how I can change my dashboard or planner pages at any time by simply pulling them out.
This planner is my catch-all. I say that loosely, because I truly consider this planner my main planner, and it basically contains my life. I don’t know about you, but growing older and having kids makes a person lose their memory and mind! I have many different tabs (side, top and bottom) in this planner that contain different aspects of my life categories. Some I have moved into other planners or journals which we will talk about in a moment. Note: the insides of this planner normally remain the same, however, I tend to switch the cover monthly.
I’ve been using this planner for my budget for the last three years, and I don’t remember how I lived without it! I use the budget by paycheque method because we get paid weekly. If you are looking for something to help you keep track of your money, look no further!
I have two journals that I write in every day. My “everyday” journal contains my thoughts, direction, feelings, emotions and intention for the day. I usually write in this journal every morning, and I consider writing in it a part of my morning routine.
The second journal is an Ecolo Journal, also from Amazon. I use this one for anything that involves business. It has been said that great leaders of the past kept daily journals. I love writing down what has worked for me each day to be more intentional and more focused on my work. I do struggle a bit as I have three young children, two of which are at home with me. However, I do the best that I can and have learned to use my time very wisely!
My next “planner”/journal is a Hobonichi Techno Cousin. I first started using one of these last year (2023), and I started enjoying writing with fine inks and fountain pens. While I still use fountain pens, my style has changed this year. I’ve been really inspired by Helen from TheCoffeeMonsterzCo, and I’ve been experimenting with different journaling layouts. I use this as more of a relaxing bed time routine while I drink Sleepytime Tea and I can write about anything of mention that happened throughout my day.
What can I say…this is my first love. When I first started bullet journaling five or six years ago, I bought my first Scribbles That Matters Notebook and never looked back. Yes, I have experimented over the years with different brands, but I always came back to this one. Now they have more different variations than ever and I love it! I have moved the bulk of my planning into an actual planner (for time’s sake), but I thought maybe I would try using a bullet journal this year for my health/mental health and self care goals. This also frees up valuable real estate in my planner - I could barely close it!
Next, I have my commonplace book that I keep in my Under The Stars Melody from Planners Anonymous. Unfortunately, this melody is all sold out, but it is breath-taking! This is a B6 sized planner cover that holds a series of B6 sized notebooks from Simply Gilded. If you are wondering, a commonplace book is otherwise known as a learning notebook. You can keep any tidbits of value in it, such as a quote or song lyric that you love, information from podcasts, YouTube videos, or courses that you might want to take. I use mine as inspiration to create more content for my blog and my YouTube channel. You can also take book notes in it, so you don’t forget any important information.
My next planner is my spiritual planner. In here, I keep a lot of reference notes for things I want to learn, and I have notepaper for taking notes on spiritual books I might want to read. I use this book to record my weekly Oracle and Tarot Readings. As you can see from the tabs, I have six sections - Tarot/Oracle, Moon Magic, Candles/Crystals, Pendulums, Reading and General Info. This is my first take at a Spiritual Planner, and does not include all the things I want to learn about my craft. I do however also own a Grimoire that is completely my own. I have not included pictures of this, but it is a hand-made, stitched notebook encased in a hand-made leather cover and I love it! It feels so time-worn and loved, and I plan on passing it down to my daughter when she comes of age.
This is my second last planner in this years lineup! This is my Miranda Compact Franklin Covey binder from the Planner Love Collection. You can still purchase this binder from the website. Again, this planner I occasionally switch the planner covers (usually quarterly). I use it for on-the-go, especially if my classic Franklin Planner feels too bulky to take with me. I keep the monthly calendar filled out in this planner (I keep a whole year of monthlies in this planner as well so I can reference at a quick glance), but I ensure any info is quickly copied down into my Classic as well. I especially like bringing this planner with me when I go to karaoke because then I can write down the songs I want to sing!
This is the final planner in this year’s planner lineup. I use my Hobonichi weeks planner to ensure I’m documenting everything about my son’s health journey. This is the perfect planner for travel, and to hold necessary documents to take for weigh-ins, reference phone numbers and doctors info and follow-ups.
That’s it! That is my complete planner lineup for 2024. I hope you all enjoyed seeing pictures and reading about how I use each of these planners. When it comes down to it, I’m not in these planners any longer than maximum 30 minutes per day - some are mere minutes per week. All it takes is good habits and a good routine to nail down what needs to be done, and to be productive and complete your tasks in a timely manner.
