Ok…Let’s be clear about this. I am NOT a professional photographer. I don’t even own a good camera. Believe it or not, I take all my pictures from my phone. (Mind you, I do have an iPhone 11 Pro which takes AMAZING photos!)

I love taking photographs of the sky, and also clouds when there is a storm. When I was in school, taking my atmospheric physics degree, I always pictured myself as a storm chaser. That is NOT a reality for me, but I live voraciously through the pictures that I take in my own backyard. Haha

I believe it was Sara from Ensign Insights (a well-known Hand Lettering artist on Youtube) that said that just because you aren’t good at something doesn’t mean you can’t love it. Now, she was talking in regards to hand lettering, but the principle applies to basically everything in life. Practice makes perfect. Just because I do not own professional camera equipment does not mean that I can’t enjoy taking beautiful shots. 💜

I took this shot while we were driving from Airdrie back to Red Deer a couple of years ago. It was a gorgeous midsummer evening, and I had to capture this sunset.
