Franklin Covey Compact: Week Three

Day 1: Monday, March 10, 2025

Good morning! It’s Monday morning and I’m off to a pretty good start. I woke up early today and started my morning routine straight away. It helps that I plan the night before. I believe that’s one of my tips for a really productive day is to ensure I know what I need to do the day before I have to do it.

Today’s list didn’t fall off the page, but I ran out of energy during the afternoon. Coffee wasn't even enough to wake me up. That was from a lack of sleep - it’s always hard coming off the weekend, when we get used to sleeping in and staying up late.

Day 2: Tuesday, March 11, 2025

Well, as you can see from the above picture, it was a bad day. I had a fever again and I slept in until 10am and didn’t even feel well enough to drive my son to school. I literally did three things on my list. Since I knew I had low energy anyway (I’ve been under the weather for a few days now), I purposely made my To-Do list shorter than usual. If I had been feeling well, I usually do the bathrooms on Tuesday. After a good night’s sleep, I should be back to my regular self tomorrow ( I hope)!

Day 3: Wednesday, March 12, 2025

Good day! It was a much better day than I’ve had so far this week. I started with some filming and voiceovers, and proceeded to design ladybug planner charms and stickers! Just in time for my sale that’s starting on March 14, 2025!

It was a very busy day and I’m not going to lie - the thought of having a nap sounded pretty good. I persisted with work though, and I got it all done!

I’m very proud of myself. I have a clear day ahead for tomorrow - I can start the day fresh with the filming of my weekly Plan With Me in my Franklin Covey Compact. Hopefully you guys are looking forward to a good planning session this week!

I went ahead and completed my goal video today. I somehow forgot that it was the quarter two setup as well as the April monthly! As I was going through, I ended up having some stray thoughts that I wrote down on a post-it. I’ll have to incorporate that into my planner tomorrow!

Day 4: Thursday, March 13, 2025

Good day! Well, I filmed my Franklin Compact weekly video, and I pro…crast..nated! (Really bad)! I didn’t end up finishing the editing process until 10:00pm! Ugh… I was checking out the Planners Anonymous site to see what was left of the sale. I ended up getting some goodies to help support them (they’re going through a little bit of a rough time right now). I usually browse the website for a long time before I actually purchase anything to make sure I get everything I want.

I did run errands, so I guess that contributed to my tasks not being completed. I ended up getting my x-ray for my knee, and I gassed up my jeep. (Glad I did that before the weekend because gas prices usually always increase on the weekend.

Here’s a glance of my “semi-unproductive” day:

Day 5: Friday, March 14, 2025

The weekend is finally here! I can’t even say I’m relieved. Before I go any further, I’ll let you check out my busy day.

This view doesn’t even reflect my shop sale that started today. I have orders hidden behind the progressive task card.

I was actually quite stressed today because I pressured myself to get it all done. As per usual Sandra fashion, I realized it’s Friday and knowing I’m going out to sing tonight made my motivation take a nose dive. (Note: also seriously stressed because I tried to work and my kids were running around like mini crazies).

As it is, I still managed to get quite a few things crossed off my list. I don’t feel so bad considering tomorrow is Saturday, and other than new sales orders that come in, I can move any remaining tasks to Saturday. I don’t have new work tasks to do on the weekend - only home and personal stuff with my family.

Day 6: Saturday, March 15, 2025

Hello! Today was a lazy day and I found myself procrastinating all of my tasks. Not a huge deal, because I still have Sunday to take care of some things. I notice when I have a morning slump, my energy (and motivation) usually pick back up later in the day. Today was no exception. I made breakfast and around 4:00pm, I started working on my makeup video from Friday and I felt good.

That’s what the weekends are for (or your days off). Take some much needed restoration time and give your body the break it needs sometimes!

Day 7: Sunday, March 16, 2025

Hello! It’s my weekend reset day. I’m not overly busy today, but I’m trying to get all of my tasks wrapped up early on in the day so I can have a relaxing evening. I usually like to watch our show (we’re currently on Mythic Quest) while we eat dinner. Then, once the kids are in bed I like to read my book.

This upcoming week is going to be a quiet one so I hope to get a few of my home organizing and cleaning tasks knocked out. The week after, I will be focusing on my monthly setups for April.

Here’s a glance at my planner over the weekend.

Sunday, March 16, 2025

I’ll start fresh tomorrow morning with Week 4. I’m not going to lie…I’m looking forward to switching back to my classic. I do notice that the kit I use that month affects how I feel about my planner. Sometimes I have a love/hate relationship with my classic too. I do know that I need the space of my classic. I’m used to where I kept things in it and I also am used to the inserts I’m able to buy for it. It seems a lot of companies are steering away from both half letter and FC compact size/personal wide. I’m happy to stick with Franklin inserts for my classic and I look forward to using them again for April! While I do love this Cocoa Daisy kit for March, I’m wondering if it’s wise to stick with one kit all month. First, it’s good to use up my products, but am I growing bored with the same theme month after month. All I know is I’m going to keep going for another two weeks. I’ll probably start prepping my April binder. I did actually get my Planners Anonymous Chapter 14 kit in the mail over the weekend, and I’ll be posting that video Tuesday I think. Stay tuned to see all the pretties I’ll be using in my Laura binder for April.

As usual, thank you for reading this weekly blog and I’ll see you again next Monday with Week Four!

Cheers,

Sandra 🌸
